In 2008, Jeff Lofstead lost his home to foreclosure.
It happened on his birthday.
Even more painfully, Jeff had more than $200,000 in equity in the property.
He had worked as a Realtor and understood real estate, yet when he needed someone who could help him find a practical way through the foreclosure, he couldn't find that person in time.
He never forgot the experience.
Years later, that painful chapter would become part of the reason Real Prop Help exists.
How Real Prop Help Began
While working in the medical field and building a second income in real estate, Cameron Clermont began meeting homeowners facing foreclosure.
A pattern quickly became obvious.
Many weren't people who had simply stopped caring about their homes.
Some had experienced a temporary hardship.

The Mission Takes Shape
Cameron and Jeff explored loan modifications, negotiations with mortgage companies, foreclosure attorneys, funding options, and other approaches.
Eventually, they developed relationships that allowed them to help certain qualifying homeowners obtain funds needed to reinstate delinquent mortgages.

Jeff was later diagnosed with stage 3 cancer that had already spread before it was detected.
He fought for more than a year.
Jeff passed away in February 2024.
But the mission he helped create continued.
In 2024, Real Prop Help helped 103 homeowners save their homes through its programs.

Why We're Expanding Into Property Tax Advocacy
Over time, another problem became increasingly clear.
Mortgage foreclosure isn't the only way homeowners lose properties—and sometimes substantial equity.
Property-tax delinquency can create its own maze of notices, liens, certificates, tax sales, redemption periods, tax deeds, and deadlines.
And again, many homeowners don't fully understand what is happening until the clock is running short.
So Real Prop Help's mission has expanded.
Today, we're bringing the same homeowner-first philosophy into Tax Care, our property-tax advocacy service.
The situation may be different. The principle isn't.
Homeowners make better decisions when somebody helps them understand the problem before trying to sell them the solution.

Our Story — And How We Can Help You Stay in Your Home
When I was still working in the medical field, I started looking for a second source of income. That’s when I began meeting homeowners facing foreclosure.
What shocked me was how many of them were $20K–$30K behind on their mortgage… yet had over $100K in home equity. Their hardship was over, they wanted to keep their homes, but their mortgage company wouldn’t work with them.
To me, that was wrong.
These homeowners had no real options other than bankruptcy or selling their home just to stop the foreclosure. I couldn’t shake the feeling — there had to be another way.
In late 2022, I met Jeff Lofstead. Jeff had lived this nightmare. In 2008, he lost his home to foreclosure — on his birthday — even though he had over $200K in equity. Jeff had been a Realtor for years and still couldn’t find anyone to help him in time. That experience made him deeply empathetic to every struggling homeowner we met.
Together, we made it our mission: Help homeowners stay in their homes.
We tried everything — loan modifications, hiring companies, endless calls with mortgage servicers and foreclosure attorneys. After months of hitting dead ends, we learned the hard truth:
That’s when we started searching for investors who would lend in these situations. Little by little, we built a network and launched our Emergency Reinstatement Loan Program.
Then life took another turn. Jeff was diagnosed with stage 3 cancer that had already spread to his bones and lymph nodes before it was even detected. He fought for over a year and got to see his dream come alive — 18 homeowners saved in the second half of 2023.
Jeff passed away in February 2024, but his mission didn’t.
In 2024, our program saved 103 homes from foreclosure. By August 2025, we’ve saved 223 homeowners through reinstatement loans — and countless more with free guidance and advice.
